here he is, A.J. Rafael

Ada yang tau atau pernah denger nama singer ini? A.J. Rafael is a newcomer multitalented artist. Selain teknik vokal yang gak diragukan lagi dan kemampuannya sebagai a songwriter, dia juga a master of keys, ukulele, guitars, and drums. lagu-lagu ciptaan dia overall bergender pop acoustic.

Mungkin karena dia pendatang baru di dunia musik dan belom banyak orang yang tau, gue jadi agak susah search biography nya di internet. A.J. Rafael sebenarnya asli orang Phillipines, tapi dia sekarang stay di Moreno Valley, California. dia lahir tanggal 10 Mei (gak tau tahun berapa) as a Catholic. dari salah satu website, gue baru tau alasan kenapa high quality singer seperti dia gak mau terlalu gencar mempromosikan talentnya. ternyata dia gak mau dengan bermusik ini dijadiin alasan utama untuk komersil. ya, Rafael ingin mencoba menginspirasi banyak orang to have music in their lives and stresses that things like popularity and money, all of it is temporary, but music is forever. itulah keyakinan yang ada di dirinya.

apa alasan gue nge-posting tentang dia? awalnya, gue suka banget sama lagu dia judulnya She Was Mine, yang bercerita tentang cowok pernah punya relationship sama cewek, tapi karena udah lama gak ketemu selama bertahun-tahun, mereka gak pernah kontak-kontak an lagi. ini potongan liriknya:

trus gue browsing lagu-lagunya yang lain. wah gak kalah enak! kayak We Could Happen, Without You, When We Say, dan lagu-lagu lainnya. Rafael juga biasa ngecover lagu dan di upload di YouTube. udah lebih dari 200,000 subscribers dan 40 juta views di YouTube. Fanpage nya di Facebook juga udah mencapai 70,000 fans dan 11 juta orang plays his song on MySpace.
